REVIEW: Pleated Skirt from Dresslink

13 September 2015

Hello cupcakes~!

You know those pleated skirts you keep seeing everywhere on Tumblr and Storenvy for $9837545? Welll, I recently discovered that you can get one at Dresslink for under $5. I know right?!

Today's review will be for this white Pleated Tennis Skirt from a store I've recently become obsessed with, Dresslink. Dresslink offers Korean-influenced fashion at wholesale prices (read, "cheap"), and sales are always going on. There are even "flash buy" sales where items cost only one cent.

I thought maybe I lucked out the first time I reviewed them, that perhaps I just happened to choose items that I was happy with; however, after being given an opportunity to review them a second time, I am very happy to report that I did not just luck out the first time!

*While this review is sponsored, it is 1000% my own opinion. All prices are in USD.

Shipping & Packaging

I chose the cheapest shipping method (it was only around a dollar!), so it took a couple of weeks for the package to arrive, but it arrived well within the expected time frame. You can choose much faster shipping methods, of course. Here, I detail how shipping prices work with Dresslink, if you find you need it.

The package arrived undamaged and secure. The processing time only took a day or two as well.

Fitting

I really love the length of this skirt - not too short, not too long. Sooo many of these tennis-style skirts look so cute on the model, but turn out to be way too short when you actually try it on (like, you feel you have to worry about things poking out that shouldn't, haha). This one was just right!

The cut is really flattering as well - it hugs in the right places, flares out in the right places. This is definitely a high-waisted skirt.

On the reviews, one person said to order a size up, another said to size down. Thinking I should be safe rather than sorry, I sized up, but turns out the other person was right, and the size I ordered is too big for me. Dx I clipped up the back for the photos, so you guys could see how the skirt is supposed to fit if you order your size correctly. (Especially since the waistband is not elastic.)

[I reviewed the shirt I'm wearing here from Himifashion. You can use my discount code "princess" at checkout for 5% off!]

Quality

I am pleased with the quality of this skirt. The material is on the thinner side, soft and breathable, not all stiff and hot. The pleats were well done, and I noticed no loose threads. The skirt was sewn symmetrically, including the back vs. the front.

Since it's white, it is see-through enough that you will have to be careful what underwear you choose. The fabric isn't shiny, which for me is a definite plus.

I have no complaints on the quality of this skirt!

Design

I love this skirt's design. The pleats are exactly what I look for - not too wide or narrow. The width of the waist band is just right, too. The length is long enough to give good coverage, probably even for taller girls (I'm 5'4"/163.8 cm), but short enough to keep within the style these tennis skirts go for.

You can get this skirt in white, lavender, wine red, and black. The white is a true white, not off-white or cream.

I love the size of the button on the side, and the skirt zips easily. I don't think there is anything I would change about the design of this skirt.

Overall

I am so in love with this skirt, I will probably go back and order my proper size as well as the other colors available.

Order from this store again?

Absolutely! Maybe even a haul for my birthday, omg.

I'm super happy that I was able to give this store a positive review again, because who doesn't love cute clothes that are also cheap right?

If you would like to purchase this skirt, you can do so right here. It currently costs $4.81.

Thank you for sponsoring me, Dresslink, and thank you cupcakes for reading~! Happy shopping! ^_^

Thanks for following ♥ ♥ ♥

I've a question, which shipping option did you go for?
Oh and what's the difference with and without the tracking number other than being able to track your items, does it guarantee to be in your hands if you have the tracking number or there's no difference at all?

I'm thinking of ordering the purple pleated skirt, been looking for it everywhere o w o

@Yasmeen:

Good question hun! I chose the China Post, no tracking number option, since it was cheapest. While I prefer to be able to track my items (it just always feels safer you know?), I've used this option both times with Dresslink and had no problems. ^^

As far as a guarantee, I've had stuff delivered from other places (chain stores, even!) to the wrong person despite having a tracking number. o.O Lol so I'm not sure what stores are supposed to guarantee with shipping...I usually opt for a tracking number if the price difference isn't too much in case it helps at all. But, I have used the no tracking number option with Dresslink several times now and it was just fine. ^^

(And you're so welcome hun, you have a lovely blog~!)
